4 Steps to Organically Generate Leads from LinkedIn in Dubai

If you’re looking to generate leads from LinkedIn in Dubai, where quality lead generation is of utmost importance, then you have come to the right place. 

But generating leads has never been easy. Especially on a platform like LinkedIn, which is way different when you compare it with other social media giants such as Facebook & Instagram. 

Are there enough people on LinkedIn to even worth investing time for lead generation? 

Why not go for bigger fish like Facebook & Instagram, LinkedIn does not have enough users on its platform, right? 

WRONG!  =)

Let me clear a few of your doubts about LinkedIn before we can get into the lead generation opportunities with the platform

Why Generate Leads from Linkedin in Dubai?

Did you know that LinkedIn is a thriving social media network with over 500 million active users, out of which over 9 million of those are business profiles across 200 countries? 

But numbers are not everything, the goal of every marketer is to acquire quality leads, and LinkedIn does not disappoint on that front. 

75% of all registered LinkedIn users have average incomes of over $50,000 and 44 percent have incomes above $75,000.

That in itself is a pretty wealthy audience to seriously consider generating leads from linkedin. 

A recent survey conducted on business executives found that 75% of them check their LinkedIn profile daily.

And if that’s not convincing enough, according to a B2B news network, 50% of all LinkedIn users are more likely to make a purchase with a company that they are actively engaged with on the platform. 

These are some pretty strong reasons why LinkedIn is a goldmine to generate high-quality leads, especially in metropolitan cities like Dubai. 

Now that we know why to choose LinkedIn for Lead generation, let us understand what topics we are not covering as LinkedIn Lead Generation in Dubai below

While Linkedin Lead Generation in itself is a very vast subject, to keep this post high in quality and simplicity, we are not covering the 3 below areas as of this post:

  • LinkedIn Lead Generation via Paid ads – Although Paid ads are a powerful tool to gain quality leads on LinkedIn, we are not covering that topic as of this blog post. We will share a more detailed article soon.
  • LinkedIn Company Page Growth – We won’t be covering the growth of actual LinkedIn company pages when we speak about a Lead generation on LinkedIn in this article.
  • LinkedIn Sponsored InMail messaging –  Linkedin Sponsored InMails are subscription-based ads on LinkedIn where you can send messages to quality leads based on interests and other targeting options. Again will share more details on how to do this at a later stage. =)

The 4 Steps to generate leads from LinkedIn in Dubai

So without further taking any more of your valuable time, let’s discuss below on how to generate leads from LinkedIn in Dubai using purely organic/free strategies and techniques.

Step 1: Optimize Your LinkedIn Profile for your Dream Client

The goal of your LinkedIn profile should be to attract and acquire your ideal client so that they would want to do business with you. 

When we use our LinkedIn profile, we tend to look at it as a resume, and this is where most people make a mistake. 

If you want to use LinkedIn for lead generation, you need to design your profile in a manner that would influence your client to do business with you. 

Treat your LinkedIn profile as a sales page. There are 3 areas on your profile that you can consider for optimization, they are: 

Your Profile & Cover Image – Your Profile photo should be professional and clear

Your Cover Image should also be professional, possibly convey something related to your expertise. 

Your Headline – Your headline should convey what you have to offer. For example, if you’re a lead generation expert, you can keep your headline as ‘Helping start-ups and agencies win ideal customers with digital marketing strategies & techniques.’

Your headline should answer 3 Questions:

  • Who do you serve? 
  • How do you serve them?
  • What result will you give them?

Your Summary & About Section – Your summary should cover your value proposition.  What makes you unique from your competition, what you do, how you help your market, etc. 

Next, you can talk about the pain points your ideal clients face and how you help solve their problems. 

DO NOT TALK ABOUT YOURSELF in the 3rd Person. That just makes you sound narcissistic. Focus on the ideal client and how you can help them. Speak in the language of your niche. 

Step 2: Connect & Engage with Your Ideal Clients 

Now once you have optimized your profile, you need to be able to connect with your ideal customers. 

While Linkedin offers a powerful paid tool called the LinkedIn Sales Navigator where you can get a lot of granular data about your target audience, I’ll show a free method to find ideal clients.

Just click on the LinkedIn search tab and search for the ideal target audience position. To explain this, let’s take an example of searching for Marketing Managers in United Arab Emirates

i) Search: I just typed the keyword ‘Marketing Manager’ in the Search Bar on the top left hand side of the toolbar.  

ii) Use Filters: Then click on the ‘All Filters’ Section and choose the location as ‘United Arab Emirates’ if you are trying to target UAE i.e. or you can always choose any other country.

Once you click on all filters, then you need to add specific filters that you’re looking for. 

For this example, I have clicked on ‘Marketing & Advertising’ in the Industry section, the United Arab Emirates as the Location.

Notice how the results now narrowed down even further to only 23,000 as opposed to previously, it showed 2,46,000.

I also recommend always getting in touch with people who you have some connection with on LinkedIn. They are more likely to interact with you because of mutual connections. 

iii) Adding the connections 

LinkedIn will populate 100+ connections that might be relevant for your business. You can then proceed with connecting with your prospective clients. 

Adding at least 15-20 new connections on a daily basis should be more than enough at the start of this approach.

Step 3: Don’t Pitch Directly, Build a Relationship First!

Now once you send them a connection request, don’t rush into it by directly pitching your services, etc.

Just sending a message that pitches for your services might not work and you may risk the chance of coming off too strong, instead, offer something that provides value to their business for free. 

Trust me. That’s not how you want to use LinkedIn for lead generation. I have taken that approach in the past and it did not go well. It made my prospective client a bit offensive.

What you want to do instead is understand your Dream Client in more detail by researching on what type of content they are engaging in, what are they interested on Linkedin, what are their pain points, what do they truly want to achieve.

One way to do that is by actively engaging with their content and giving them positive feedback.

Say, for example, you connect with a Marketing Manager named Tom for a real estate company, you can message them by saying:

Hi Tom, Thanks for connecting with me on LinkedIn, I read your blog post on ‘5 SEO Techniques to Increase your Organic Traffic by 200% and i thought it was one of the best articles i read on how to use SEO to grow your business. 

Thanks for sharing & looking forward to connecting with you.

Chances are, the connection will most likely respond with a favorable reply as this uses the power of reciprocity rather then just by directly pitching for your services. 

Providing value always works, whether that is with LinkedIn or any other platform. 

Step 4: Provide Quality Content on LinkedIn for Free

This ties in with step 3 of providing freebies that provide value.

If you consistently provide quality content on your LinkedIn feed at least 3 times a week that helps your connections, you will get more views and more leads in the long run. 

You need to come across as a thought leader in your industry. The more quality content you create, the more likely your connections will approach you for work. 

There are so many different types of quality content you can post on LinkedIn, I am highlighting a few of the best ones that actually work below:

  1. Simple One Liner Posts
  2. Long-Form Posts
  3. Posts with Images
  4. Videos
  5. Articles
  6. Slides
  7. Client Review posts
  8. Free Guides
  9. Helpful Tips
  10. Other People’s Content(Mostly Influencers)

When you start sharing relevant content on a regular basis, your newly connected target audience will perceive you as an industry expert. They will start to notice you by viewing your profile, your achievements, your websites, etc.

They will want to connect with you now more on a deeper level so that they can understand how can you solve their existing pain points and help them achieve real results.

You can then take the conversation via a phone call or a video call accordingly forward.

If you see, the entire lead generation strategy shared above is so simple to execute and no where you are actually doing the selling. You are just building relationships, and providing value for free. That in itself is giving your long term results in terms of actual revenue.
